  • 2 bay leaves (large, 4 if small)

  • 1/3 cup Better Than Bouillon Chicken Base (Superior Touch)
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes (dried, *or add fresh, 1 Tbl. minced just before serving)
  • 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon herbes de provence
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried thyme (crushed between your fingers when adding to the pot)
  • 1/16 teaspoon onion powder
  • 16 ounces baby carrots (sweet, sliced into thirds or fourths depending on size of carrots)
  • 1 onion (large, large diced, or one medium + 1 small)
  • 3 celery (large ribs, thickly sliced)
  • 8 ounces crimini mushrooms (fresh sliced, sliced again in half)
