- 1 onion (large, peeled and finely diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (peeled and chopped)
- 4 rashers (nitrate free bacon, diced)
- 2 carrots (peeled and diced)
- 2 sticks celery (sliced)
- 1 bunch basil (leaves picked and stems finely chopped)
- 400 grams diced tomatoes (tins)
- 100 mL red wine
- 1 zucchinis (large or 2 small, diced)
- 425 grams cannellini beans (can of, drained and well rinsed)
- 200 grams silver beet (or spinach leaves well washed and chopped)
- 600 mL stock (homemade is preferable, chicken or vegetable. For more on making your own, click here.)
- 50 grams spaghetti (broken into pieces, put it in a plastic bag and break it up by hand or by bashing with a rolling pin)
