I made this cake for my husbands birthday and if you enjoy a challenge, make this, trust me when I say it’s well worth it! This is a multi step recipe that will require several hours of your time. I split it up between two days. First day mixing, baking and making the raspberry jam (I couldn’t find currants so I subbed raspberries for any currants required in the recipe). The second day I made the frosting and frosted, prepared and decorated the cake. The cake really is worth the time spent because it’s absolutely delicious. This is sure to make your guests oooh and ahhh at its beauty!!
