  • 1/2 cup mushroom (dried, soaked in 1/2 c water and then drained, Save the liquid)
  • 1/2 cup porcinis (frozen, thawed, I found these at Trader Joes but they are optional however if you have dried porcinis make sure to use them.)
  • 1 minced shallot (large, or 4 minced garlic cloves)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons sherry
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 pound linguini (or egg noodles cooked according to package directions in well salted water)
  • 1/3 cup Parmigiano Reggiano (freshly grated)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or butter)
  • truffle oil (optional)
  • parsley (Italian minced, for garnish)
