- 3/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder (I used Dutch-process but natural will work)
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/3 cup milk (non-dairy)
- 8 oz. bittersweet chocolate chips (or semi-sweet)
- 1 Tbsp. brewed coffee (or espresso, optional)
- 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup (optional)
