This was a very great recipe. I found it less complicated after reading the instructions. But, since I do not have a food processor I had to blend the wheat flour, butter, and salt the old fashioned way. By hand. It took me a while and I did add some sugar to my version of the recipe because my whole wheat flour has a strong taste to it, so wanted it to taste sweet. I had strawberry jam, so put that in the middle and I coated the pastries with the egg. I must say it all turned out great. A down side is that overall, it took me 3 hours total to do everything. I think it is because I had to do everything by hand. My family loves the pastries though. Thank you. ^^
