Have made this several times and it delicious both with and without the heavy cream. This time, I left out the beans (to reduce carbs) and added one Chayote Squash. I peeled and diced the Chayote and sautéed it with the onions, celery, and carrots. Delicious

I made this for the first time day after Thanksgiving 3 years ago. It is now a regular request multiple times in Coker weather from family and friends so I need to make extra batches! It is very much a favorite go-to. Highly recommended
