I've been trying to find a no cook pure white icing that wasn't purely based on shortening and powdered sugar. I've tried 10 or so including the ones you do cook. Either they were not white or just had too much of a pure sugar taste. There is one with some almond extract that is a second to this one, but this one is great. BE SURE and soften the butter to room temp and cream for quite a few minutes with mixer w/shorterning to get the yellow color out before you start adding the sugar. It's awesome!!
