Really nice dish. I only had low fat cheese and could only find no fat soft cheese (quark). The family loved it. I am going to try it again with low fat cottage cheese

I have made this so many times since I first tried the recipe. I even made it when I hosted my family for the very first time in my life! It was the most eaten dish. Honestly, it tastes like a very basic lasagna, but it's healthier AND easy to make. People find lasagna intimidating, but this is quite simple to make. You don't even have to cook the noodles before baking it. The cottage cheese is a nice touch that keeps it cheesy and a little extra twist. I used the Deans low fat cottage cheese (in the purple container) and it was great. You could probably switch it up every now and then and try out different pasta sauces. I used a three cheese pasta sauce that worked nicely.
