I absolutely love the I have made it many times in the past but just rediscovered the recipe as I had lost it made it tonight as I found it again yum dinner again yay

This recipe is a great base but does need some flavour added. I also used the crock pot to cook this. I used chicken broth instead of water, I sautéed the onions and garlic first (and then added to the crock pot). I added carrots instead of green peppers. I also used, parsley, basil, red pepper chilli flakes, paprika, and thyme. I cooked it for two hours on high and four on low. It was so delicious! Will make again.

Having read others reviews prior to making I used reduced sodium chicken broth instead of water and grilled chicken to make it heartier. I used seasoning to my liking. I only used one onion. No olive oil. I used 4 celery stalks. It made 4 bowls for me at just over 2 cups each. I also didn't measure my broth.

It is a decent base for a soup, but as others have stated, there is no flavor. Didn’t use the green pepper and used chicken stock instead of water, 4 cups instead of 3, added oregano, basil, paprika, and cumin.

If you do it according to the recipe, it's absolutely tasteless. I added Worcester sauce, soy sauce, a lot of paprika and italian herb mix to turn it into an actually nice soup.

I like it, and I did add different spices on 2 different occasions.
Adding more veggies wouldn't keep it a wonder soup LOL. It's very filling.

It didn't have taste. Iadded more salt, pepper, fennel, garlic powder, chili flakes, and oregano.

I have added more spices like massala and chili pepper powder as well as maggie chicken cube thingy . If i make it again ill try to blend it then add shredded chicken

Was a bit sceptical in the beginning but I left the same ingredients and added some stock cubes to the water. Other than that I put one less onion and a bit less cabbage as it is a lot to put in a pot. Tastes nice but obviously not a strong, spicy dish.

Replace water with low sodium V8
Also add more vegetables Cauliflower broccoli Asparagus Beans Peas Peppers(all colors) Zucchini & yellow squash Butternut squash THE LIST IS ENDLESS

I like this soup, but to some this may be very bland. Adding some chicken broth would have made this too watery, but adding some spice would definitely help. I also took the opportunity to add bok choy.

Delicious. I had this soup substituted for a meal one day then added red potatoes and chicken and it was tasty as well .

Added salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin, and other spices. Tasted very good. Really felt full.

Didn't add in the bell peppers but added in some tomato paste, pepper, thyme and basil.

I used this soup as a base for a richer more complete meal, still low carb and great for keeping blood sugar balanaced. I made it on the stove and added a lot: garlic, more olive oil, ghee, turmeric, cayenne, basil and coconut aminos plus a pound of grass fed ground beef. It was pretty wonderful. Next time I'll add some cauliflower, too. Thank you!

Did not enjoy this soup. Made it how the recipe directed and it was incredibly bland and did not entice me to keep eating it! I even added vegetable and chicken stock. Would not make again.

This soup is delicious and filling. I added turmeric and garlic salt and used a combo of vegetable and beef broth cubes to add additional flavor.

Very good soup but lots of chopping to get there. Next time I would add carrots and maybe white beans. Very filling. I only added salt, pepper and a tiny bit of garlic powder but plan to season bowls differently throughout the week.
