Walnut Basil Pesto turned out to be quite easy. The hardest part? preparung the leaves of the basil and that wasn't so bad. i omitted salt and pepper as the people who were planning on using the pesto had different tastes from each other. I also used an immersion blender as that was the tool available. By hand chopping the walnuts and placing a layer of the garlic, basil leaves, and olive oil as slowly needed I was able to avoid a shower of walnut pieces as I experienced at first when that blender hit the walnuts. The results were delicious.
