The family loves it, and this pairs very well with a smoked pork shoulder. I used 2 bags of shredded cole slaw mix instead of a whole cabbage, carrots etc, with some of the oil/vinegar/sugar mixture left over.

I have modified the recipe to pair with my smoked meats, cutting the peppers, cabbage and onion a bit thicker makes it a hearty addition to smoked pork butt and brisket

This is my go-to coleslaw, but I use only half the sugar. A great change from the mayonnaise based slaws.
