- 5 liters water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 5 tomatoes (large ripe, cut into wedges)
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil

- 1 lb. tofu (fried)
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup shrimp paste
- 1 cup dried shrimp (soak in warm water for at least 15 minutes then drain/rinse)
- 14 oz. prawns (minced, or crab in spices)
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp. minced shallot
- 4 eggs
- 4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. pork stock (powder)
- 1 tsp. msg (optional)
- 2 lb. rice noodles (medium, cook per package instructions)
- 1 bunch water spinach (stems, split stems into thin strips)
- 1 head lettuce (or cabbage, julienne into thin strips)
- 1 bag bean sprouts
- 2 limes (/lemons, cut into wedges)
- 7 green onions (slice green part thinly)
- Vietnamese herbs (Assortment of, Perilla, Sorrel, Vietnamese Coriander, Mint, and Fish Mint)
