- 1 tsp. sambal oelek (srirachi would work as well)
- black pepper (to taste)
- 12 oz. pork loin (good or shoulder, better, sliced ¼ inch thick)
- 1/2 pkg. rice vermicelli
- carrot (shaved)
- sliced cucumber
- green onion (in 2 inch pieces)
- cilantro (chopped coarsely)
- mint leaves (chopped coarsely)
- nuoc cham (to serve)
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 Tbsp. sugar (3 if you like it a bit sweet)
- 1/2 lime
- 1/2 tsp. sambal oelek (srirachi would work here as well)

We deviated slightly but the base recipe is really good and easy to make. A delicious, refreshing, quick recipe.
