- 1 bunch thai basil
- 900 grams rice vermicelli (soaked in cold water for 20 minutes)
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 350 grams cabbage (washed and sliced 1.5 cm strips)
- 2 carrots (medium, peeled, halved lengthways and sliced 2–3 mm on a diagonal)
- 1/2 cucumber (continental, quartered lengthways, seeds sliced off and discarded, sliced 2–3 mm on a diagonal)
- 5 radishes (sliced thinly)
- 1 red chilli (long, optional, sliced)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 kg pork mince (fatty)
- 1/2 head garlic (peeled and finely chopped)
- 1 Tbsp. fish sauce
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 7 Tbsp. caster sugar
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 1/4 cup self-raising flour
- vegetable oil (for greasing)
- 200 mL lime juice (or lemon)
- 3 Tbsp. caster sugar
- 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
- 1 red chilli (small, bashed or chopped, depends how hot you like it!)
