Turned out great added a little barfat powder for about half the cook time but lemon juice really made the difference

I added grated carrots and finely diced celery(about 1/2 cup of each) along with 2 bay leaves after blending it. Am very happy with the outcome.

Surprisingly tasty and simple. Make for a week you are low on funds and still please the family.

This is a good base but I prefer to add carrots, vegan boullion, Italian seasonings and a bay leaf. These key ingredient make this soup unbelievably delicious.
i would make this soup again

It was super easy to make and extremely delicious. The lemon really brings up the taste.

Pretty basic. It is a little bland so I added more than a little paprika, vegan bouillon and some liquid smoke. I also added diced carrots. This is a good recipe base. :)

Good recipe but like many reviews before, I found that adding carrots, celery and onion worked best. Also, this needs some more flavor, a bit bland for my taste! Used 5c vegetable broth and one cup water. Added recommendations for seasoning from Moosewood Cookbook and it was perfect! Final note, I used an electric pressure cooker on high for 30 minuets and natural release; made a creamy, tender soup 😋

I have made this several times and my entire family loves it! I add carrots for color.

Really tasty it took quite a bit longer than posted for the peas to soften and I had to add more water but other than that great, easy recipe

Definitely would make it again. I combined this with a different recipe that included celery and carrots. I also used vegetable stock 4:1 with water.

There wasn’t quite enough water so I added some homemade veg stock. It says cook peas for 20 mins, I would say they need at least 1 hour. Flavour was good and all the family enjoyed

Excellent. I've used this recipe several times with different people and it's always a hit. I love that it's a one pot dish!

Reading the comments I decided to change up the base recipe a bit. I caramelized my onions a bit more than said. I also added in minced garlic, 3 cups of vegetable broth and 2 cups water, and added a few spices to cook this down with. I also just used an immersion blender to blend it all to the consistency I wanted. Turned out delicious and I look forward to making it again.

Delicious. Added garlic, carrots, and celery to the sautéed onions, then added some frozen green peas just at the end of cooking. My husband didn't like the lemon, but I thought it added just the right amount of zing. The kids ate it without complaint, so I'm sure I will be making this soup again.

First time trying split pea soup. was surprisingly delicious. I did change it up a bit though since I also think salt isn't enough. Used a bell pepper and onion puree I had in the freezer, added some garlic powder and used chicken broth instead of water since I had some at hand from boiling some chicken. Came out amazing!
Great soup! Tasty, simple and quick. I would add some bouillon to it though for more flavor, salt alone does not seem to cut it.

Yummy!!! It didn't make a lot, I would suggest doubling the quantities if you want to keep it in the fridge for several servings :)

Absolutely amazing! The only pea soup recipe I use. After trying multiple other ones, I have to say this is the best. The paprika makes a world of a difference!
