  • 6 tablespoons bean paste (fermented black, Korean is best)
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 package seitan (Upton’s Natural Bacon, optional)
  • 2 small potatoes (diced)
  • 2 carrots (diced)
  • 1 zucchinni (diced)
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • salt
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch (stirred into 1/4 cup water)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 noodles (portions Asian medium thick wheat, Korean wheat noodles found in the original recipe are ideal-I used Taiwanese dry noodles because that’s what we had)
