- 1 cup coconut milk
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp. ginger puree (optional)

- fish sauce (to taste)

- 8 dried shrimps
- 2 red chilies (sliced, and seeded if you prefer less spicy)
- 3 shallots (peeled and cut into chunks)
- 2 garlic cloves
