Amazing. I watched the episode in the third season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, where Susie is kidnapped out to The Rockaways and is befriended by the thugs who serve her the Italian wife’s moussaka (because for some reason she only cooks Greek food). Of course, I wanted to try it. But we cheated. We baked the eggplant slices in half the time and microwaved for 12 minutes before browning the top in the oven. Perhaps baking for an hour helps to blend the flavors a bit more, but we didn’t want to wait. Loved it.
