- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 cup orange juice (or 2 tablespoons orange juice concentrate)
- 2 whole chipotle chilies in adobo sauce (with 2 tablespoons sauce from can)
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 onion (large, chopped, about 1 1/2 cups)
- 1 poblano pepper (chopped, about 1 cup)
- 3 cloves garlic (medium, minced, about 1 tablespoon)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. ground cumin
- 2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. marmite (or vegemite, optional)
- 1 can whole peeled tomatoes (28 ounce, crushed by hand)
- 2 cans kidney beans (15 ounce, drained and rinsed)
- 1 can black beans (15 ounce, drained and rinsed)
- 1 can hominy (15 ounce, drained and rinsed)
- 1 1/2 lb. sweet potatoes (peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes)

- 2 Tbsp. vodka (or bourbon)
