This recipe is one of the best pancake recipes I’ve tried, vegan or not.
I did end up using regular milk (it’s all I had) and used lemon juice instead of vinegar to make the buttermilk. I also added a teaspoon of vanilla and a tablespoon of maple syrup to the batter. Other than that, I followed it to a tee.
I will definitely be using this recipe in the future!

I have made these a few times and could not figure out how to get them to brown up and not taste floury. Today was the day! Instead of cooking until the edges look done, like with the boxed stuff, I waited until the whole pancake was solid and not runny anymore. Then I flipped and browned the bottom. (Probably should’ve read the directions more carefully, but I wasn’t sure what she meant about the bubbles.) We also like to add a bit of vanilla and cinnamon. So dang good. No oil needed in the pan.

I make this all the time.
I use apple cider vinegar instead though.

So maybe I tried too many substitutions, but these were just ok to me with one key issue, they were pretty hard to cut with a fork. Not light and fluffy as I was expecting. Now my big change was using whole wheat “white” flour. Not sure if that changes it from being “ light and fluffy” to “heavy and thick” but that is what happened. Also used apple butter instead of oil (another reviewer did that and did not indicate concerns). The taste was nice and they were completely edible, but not something I’m running back to

Easy to make and super fluffy! Definitely need to oil the pan as these will stick (using cast iron I need to oil if I’m reusing the same spot on the griddle)

These were THE BOMB!!! I followed the recipe EXACTLY! My niece who is vegan sang my praises!!! I couldn’t tell the difference between these and regular made from scratch ingredients! We were full!!!

I added a chia egg and used a nonstick pan rather coconut oil. They were easily the best pancakes I’ve ever made. Fluffy, cohesive and the perfect balance of sweetness, salt and tang (from the buttermilk)

Admittedly I made 4x the batter and changed it up a bit but super great! I also added a cup of oats an 2 tbsp of chia seeds to bulk it up. Also ran out of plain flour so most of it was self raising flour. Also added 3.5 bananas But some very fluffy pancakes!! Delicious!

Delicious! My family (not vegans) loved the pancakes and we couldn’t even tell a difference. I swapped the vinegar out for lemon juice and it turned out fine. Will be making this recipe many more times!!!

Looking for perfect vegan pancakes? Look no further!!! These are so good. I make them once a week or so. I like to add a little cinnamon and nutmeg.

The pancakes turned out great! My vegetarian kids and husband did not even noticed they were vegan.

Not even close to regular pancakes, turned out tasting very heavy of flour.

Super fluffy and crispy on the edges like I like them. Omitted the sugar because I love berries and maple syrup on top. Added vanilla, nutmeg, and lemon zest. Super yum!

The recipe makes good tasting pancakes. They were thinner than i expected so next time i would use less milk.
