- 1 Tbsp. blackstrap molasses (any molasses will work)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1 3/4 cups whole wheat pastry flour (or white whole wheat flour)
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. all spice
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup vegan butter (cut into small pieces, can also use regular butter if not vegan)
- 3/4 cup oats (Coach’s)
- 24 pecans (halves)
- 1 Tbsp. pure maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp. butter (pecan, or cashew butter)
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 Tbsp. warm water (to thin)
