- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
- cayenne pepper (or ground chilli (optional))
- 180 mL red wine (vegan, or veggie stock)
- 400 grams plum tomatoes (tins peeled)
- 1 bay leaf (fresh, or dried)
- 3/4 tsp. salt (adjust to taste)
- black pepper (to taste)
- 115 grams walnut pieces
- 1/2 cup puy lentils (or green lentils)
- 1 tsp. date syrup (or sugar, adjust to taste)
- 1 sweet potato (cubed)
- 400 grams red kidney beans (drained)
- 20 grams vegan chocolate (dark, chopped)
- cooked brown rice (or quinoa, to serve)
- yoghurt (vegan, or sour cream, to serve, optional)
- fresh coriander (/ cilantro, chopped, optional)
