I have been to Hawaii and had a similar meat burger (back when I was doing that) and this burger is a great tribute. Loved it!

I made the burgers by themselves. However I was out of onions so I used a medium granny smith apple and 1/2tbs onion powder. The burgers came out great

These were my first ever homemade veggie burgers. They were awesome!!! Kids and hubby loved as well
