Wow! Great dish and great flavor. Dont be afraid to add some extra onions and toast the buns if you can, it add some texture and crunch to the sandwich

Very good substitute for a French dip, I always use more garlic and have been using this recipe regularly to help cut out some meat from our diet!

This is a really good sandwich. My husband loved it. We had it with sweet potato fries. I used hickory liquid smoke which gave it a nice flavor. Thanks for all of the tips to cut the mushrooms very thin. We will definitely have this again.

Mostly good, but the sauce was a little sweet I think I’ll try Bragg’s instead of the vegan Worcestershire. Other than that it was tasty!

Cooked this, it was delicious, the taste of the mushroom sauted with onions, and simmered in the veggie broth gave it more flavor. 😍🤤

So amazing. I altered it slightly to use my own au jus recipe, but the heart of it was the same. My meat loving grandparents asked for the recipe!

I have made this sandwich twice and absolutely love it. On the bread I put horseradish aioli and spicey mustard. But other than that, no changes to the recipe. It's excellent.

Wow. Just wow. I wanted to cook more non meat foods but I do love meat. This recipe is downright witchcraft. It tastes amazing. I added a little butter to the onions but it probably didn’t even need it. But who a I kidding? Butter is great.

Really good! I used 4 large portobello caps and it made enough for 2 people with maybe half a sandwich worth of leftovers. I used Dijon mustard, which was a really good match with the sandwiches. I didn’t have any liquid smoke so I omitted that. And I made vegan Worcestershire sauce from the forks over knives website.
