- 1/4 cup store bought low sodium vegetable stock (or homemade)
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. black bean sauce (fermented)
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. toasted sesame oil
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- 2 lemon peel
- 4 cloves garlic (minced, about 4 teaspoons)
- 1 Tbsp. fresh ginger (minced or grated)
- 6 scallions (white and light green parts only, finely chopped)
- 2 Tbsp. toasted sesame seeds (divided)
