- 6 cups water
- 2 cups long grain brown rice
- 1 1/2 cups dried black-eyed peas
- 1 cup sweet potato (peeled and diced)
- 2 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1 tsp. dried marjoram (or use oregano)
- 1 tsp. dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp. dried cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp. liquid smoke
- 1 pinch ground cloves
- 2 cups collards (minced kale, or spinach)
- 1 crushed tomatoes (14.5 0z can, can substitute diced tomatoes if that's all you have on hand)
- 2 Tbsp. nutritional yeast
- salt (to taste, optional)
