- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- almond milk
- non dairy milk
- coconut oil (– any flavorless oil)
- 1 cup vegetable shortening (non-hydrogenated, like Earth Balance)
- 12 oz. vegan cream cheese (non-hydrogenated, like Tofutti, softened)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. lemon juice (I didn’t use it)
- 4 drops lemon oil (to taste, I didn’t use this either)
