- nonstick cooking spray
- 3 bananas (medium, very ripe, well mashed)
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup nondairy milk
- 2 tsp. flaxseed meal
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. canela
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Spray a 9x5-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
- Place the mashed bananas, canola oil, brown sugar, granulated sugar, nondairy milk, flaxseed meal and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Whisk vigorously until smooth and combined.

Loved this recipe, turned out amazing and tasty and appears to be a healthier option. I only wish I knew unbleached flour was a better flour than bleached before I made the recipe. I am new to vegan cooking so identifying ingredients is important. Only concern was much more caloric compared to Pillsbury box mix.

I love vegan recipes. To make this even more nourishing, I used whole wheat flour & a 1/4 cup of Stevia in place of sugar. I also added a teaspoon of almond extract, a teaspoon of vanilla creme Stevia, walnuts & raw cacao nibs. I hate canola oil so I subbed a mix of olive oil & tahini instead. It was done baking after about 45 minutes. I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because the loaf is pretty small. Next time I will use a smaller loaf pan or make mini loaves.

This is by far the best banana bread recipe vegan or non vegan it's the best. it always turns out perfect and can be modified with nuts, Raisins and/or chocolate chips, my friends and family request it over and over and like to have it on hand daily

I am not vegan but my son is allergic to eggs. This is one of the best banana breads I’ve ever tasted. The one substitution I made was swapping out the canola oil for olive oil, mainly because canola oil is more heavily processed. My son and husband ate the entire loaf in one day! This will be a staple moving forward.😋

I am not Vegan but my granddaughter is allergic to eggs. She loved it. I used buttermilk instead of nondairy and coconut sugar instead of granulated white sugar. I loved the addition of flax seed. This will be my go to banana bread from now on.

I used olive oil instead of canola oil and I used an extra banana. It turned out very good!!!

Struck me that a bunch of over-ripe bananas on my counter didn't necessarily need to be trashed so I turned to Yummly for advice. Found a great vegan recipe which seemed doable, although 3/4 way through I discovered there was no baking powder in my cupboards. Googled a substitute then used baking soda mixed with buttermilk. Not vegan banana bread now but the few people care. Am loving it, slathered in melting butter. Thanks Yummly! Yummm!

Was amazing. Baked this for my vegan granddaughters but the whole family loves it. This is now my go to banana bread recipe. I just use less sugar. Mahalo

Amazing! I lessened the cinnamon by a 1/4 teaspoon, since I didn’t want a lot of the cinnamon flavour, and it was amazing!

Sooooo good! We didn’t wait an hour to let it cool, so good warm! Next time, I may try to sub out some of the oil with applesauce to see how it turns out.

Super easy, and it came out great! I had a bag of vegan chocolate chips in the house, so I threw those in as well, and they made a great addition.

perfect! really delicious! i just combine spelt flour with almond flour and oat flour and also i made these into muffins... and they turned out great ! and for extra flavour i added chocolate chips and walnut pieces
