Well, the first batch I accidentally put in a full cup of butter and they came out runny. Went back to check recipe and realized my mistake! Remade with the 1/2 cup of butter as recipe calls for and turned out great. I sprinkled in some colored sugar for Christmas. My husbands 86 year old uncle was reminiscing about homemade vanilla wafers and these will be a part of an assortment of cookies as a gift. Photos are of second batch and first batch with too much butter.
