This isn't Genoise. it is more like a waffle or biscuit cake, but it is not a Genoise. The whole point of Genoise is that whole eggs are mixed with sugar over heat to form the lightness and volume. This recipe skips that process entirely. It is a cake recipe, but it is not a Genoise at all.
