    Mixing the cake in the pan you’re going to cook it in is one of the more ridiculous and unhelpful things I’ve ever done. The cake didn’t rise quite right and came out of the pan in a few pieces. All that said, my cake-averse kids loved this recipe so I’ll be giving this another go for the next birthday.

    idk if im not doing it right, but mine didnt turn out as directed, and looks nothing like the picture. I added more sugar and flavoring, and it came out better. Its very dense, not light and fluffy like the picture.

    It turned out better than expected and my kids really enjoyed it. I did add an egg but overall really good and will probably use this recipe again.

    I didn’t have any white sugar so I used an equal amount of dark brown sugar Came out awesome!!! Made a vegan maple buttercream to top it Will be trying the chocolate recipe next!!!
    It’s a really good cake but it’s a little dense and kinda playdoh textured but that didn’t bother me I still overall like the cake

    Really bad. I followed the directions and they started to smoke in the oven. Very disappointed with how this turned out.
