I cooked frozen tortellinis as package directed. I used canned tomatoes with juice, added spices, added spinach and then tortellinis. Loved it.

There wasn’t enough sauce to properly cook the tortellini, even though I used 10 tomatoes, so the tortellini stuck to the bottom and broke apart. If I were to make it again, but i dont think I would, I’d cook the tortellini separately and adjust the spices because it was very bland.

A great one-pot dish. Mistakenly used dried tortellini the first time which made for a very al dente result. Switched to fresh the next time and it made a huge difference. This recipe comes in very handy when your garden explodes with an abundance of ripe plum tomatoes all at once. Don’t be afraid to up the amount of red pepper flakes as it makes for some really zesty flavor.

I added some Spanish chorizo, just half a pound to up the calories. The Italian/Spanish fusion was on point. Using fresh tomatoes instead of canned was noticeable

Great. Sautéed yellow onion prior to adding the tomatoes - used sausage and cheese tortellini - the ‘boys’ loved it!

After making some additions it was very good! I added sauted onion and bell pepper, capers and more seasoning

Great recipe... changed it up a bit. Decided to add shrimp which turned out great. To do so, I added 1/2 cup chix broth to the initial tomato mix and then added shrimp followed by tortellini. Also added touch of parsley and basil for taste.

Very easy to make and tasted great. It was a little bland, so had to add a little extra seasoning. But all in all great dish.

I like to put umami into my tomato sauces, so I added capers and anchovies. The additions really took the recipe up a notch. Oh yah, I also threw in a few sliced black olives, yum!!
