Tasty but a little drier than I expected despite adding kale and some tomato slices. I think if I had to remake it I would fry the onions slightly first, and also soak the bread in some stock with white wine, butter and garlic. Overall very good considering I am not a big fan of turnips. Would make again with the above changes.

The recipe was simple and easy. I had a loaf of homemade garlic bread that I substituted for the white bread. The taste was a little bland however. I topped it with some leftover chili and it was terrific. A good base recipe to experiment with. Pizza toppings might go well with it too.
