- 2 lb. ground sausage (your favorite, I found a sage sausage and used that)
- 1 lb. turkey (boneless, breasts, thinly sliced and pounded between 2 sheets of wax paper, flattened to the thickness of about 1/8")
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 sweet potato (peeled and sliced thin)
- 4 cups flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 cup vegetable shortening (solid)
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/3 cup water (or chicken stock, If it is salty, decrease your salt a tad.)
- 1 tsp. sage (crumbled, or your favorite dried herb to flavor crust, optional)
