  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 green bell pepper (choppped, 1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 yellow onion (medium, chopped, 1 1/2 cups)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced, 1 Tbsp)
  • 20 ounces lean ground turkey
  • ground black pepper
  • salt
  • 14.5 ounces diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 16 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 cup low sodium chicken broth (then another 1/2 cup if desired)
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ancho chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 29 ounces red kidney beans (I used 1 can light 1 can dark, drained and rinsed)
  • light sour cream (optional)
  • low fat cheddar cheese (optional)
  • cayenne pepper (optional)
  • green onions (optional)

    It’s great, kept to recipe mostly. Added (4) jalapeños and (1) Habanero pepper. Replaced all peppers with those guys. Turns out perfect every time.. I do throw (2) slices of American cheese on before I eat my bowl cause I’m a hillbilly.

    The recipe was way more flavorful than I thought it would be for a turkey chili. I'm kind of disappointed that I'm just now coming across this recipe. I thought I would have to add a lot of salt at the end but the other spices really filled that void. I added 3 jalapenos for depth (though it didn't taste spicy at all) and I definitely recommend making that addition.

    Amazing! I added shredded carrots with the onions/ peppers to bump up the veggie content everyone loved it, including kiddos
    I’ve made this chili twice. It’s a very flavorful and hearty dish. I added a can of chopped green chilies and used black and kidney beans. It’s delicious

    i substituted corriander seeds for ground corriander and that was a huge mistake... dont make the dame mistake. it ruined my whole chile... it would have been great if i didnt do that

    perfect! Made half the amount of turkey and beans as well as the condiments. I added extra cumin and oregano and less of the sweet paprika since I don't like it too hot and spicy.

    Great! Taste-tested and tweaked my way. Added 8oz more tomato sauce. Used 1 cup beef boullion. Added 1 can chopped green chilies. Increased all spices by 50% Added 1tsp cayanne pepper

    Very good! The chicken broth really wasn't necessary. I used a bit more chili powder and garlic for added kick, but it's entirely a matter of preference.

    I made this receipt and it was very tasty. I think using the variety of spices in this receipt give it its fantastic flavor. I omitted the beans to make it more Paleo style, which i tend to follow.
