    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease and line four baking trays with baking paper.
    2. Into a large bowl, sift combined flours and cocoa. Stir in sugars. Add chocolate, nuts, butter, egg, yolk and vanilla. Mix well.
    3. Roll heaped tablespoons of mixture into balls. Arrange on trays, 2 inches apart. Flatten slightly with a fork.
    4. Bake for 8-10 mins, or until firm. Cool on trays. Serve with chocolate icing, if desired.
