- 1 yellow onion (finely diced)
- 1/2 habanero pepper (seeded and ribbed, minced)
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 qt. milk
- 1/2 tsp. mustard (powdered)
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. white pepper
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 cups grated Gruyère
- 2 eggs
- 1 lb. pasta (I used penne but anything you like)
- 4 tsp. fresh chives (finely chopped)
- 1 1/2 tsp. fresh thyme (finely chopped)
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs (panko, preferably)
