Turned out lovely! Made this for my son for his birthday! The batter was so delicious—the cinnamon and nutmeg really made the cake!! This is one of my favorite types of cakes—I had no idea how simple it is to make and how great it tastes homemade!! New family favorite!!

It was good, but don’t know if I’d make it again. It’s such a heavy cake. I followed the directions, except omitted the cinnamon & nutmeg. I chopped fresh strawberries and placed them on top of the cake, then frosted with the whipped cream. I did use toasted coconut on top of the whipped cream. Everyone loved it.

This is LITERALLY THE BEST CAKE I’ve ever, ever eaten. Recommend 1000%. I would eat this every single day if I could. It was so so so good!!!!!!! Highly recommend adding strawberries on top.

I would suggest adding a little amount of almond extract to the frosting to make it have a delicious distinct taste.

Soooooo good!!!! The recipe was super easy to follow and I loved the addition of the cinnamon and nutmeg. Definitely would recommend making it a day ahead so the leche's can have thorough time to absorb!
