My family loved this. I made my stew in my crock pot and was very impressed with the flavor. I did swap out the garlic powder for 2 large cloves of garlic.

So tender and flavor full right out of the crock pot. Tonight with warm corn tortillas and some hot sauce, cant wait.

This recipe turned out delicious the 1st time I made it! Made as written and wouldn’t change a thing!!! Currently adding this to my weekday meal rotation! The braising liquid gives the meat a delicious flavor and it’s a nice change from using ground beef!! We topped our tacos (flour tortillas) with sour cream, cheese, hot sauce, and a squeeze of fresh lime!! Make this, just give yourself enough time to allow the meat to braise for the 2-3 hours and you will not be sorry!!!!
