- 2/3 cup rolled oats
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 stick butter (softened to room temperature)
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs (use pasteurized eggs such as Safest Choice if you want to eat the dough!)
- 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips (or 9 ounces finely chopped dark chocolate)
