The first time I made this, I followed the directions as is. It was much too sweet for my taste; however, when I made it again, I added the juice of one large lemon, and it was perfect. I poured the blueberry filling into a bowl, added the fresh-squeezed lemon juice and mixed well before I poured it in the pan. The added lemon was the difference I needed for it to be just right for me.
