- 2 1/4 tsp. rapid rise yeast (or instant)
- 3 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract (optional)
- 4 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 12 Tbsp. unsalted butter (cut into 12 pieces and softened)
- 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar (packed, don't use dark, it will be too heavy a molasses flavor)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter (softened)
- 8 oz. cream cheese (room temperature)
- 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup whole milk (to thin it out, use more or less, it's up to you)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 vanilla bean (split, optional)
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
- 1 pinch salt
