    This turned out well. I added pepper at the end as I found it a bit salty and a bit sweet. I didn't quite use the full amount of sugar because I only had balsamic vinegar on hand (which probably contributed to it being a bit sweeter). I would like to try this again with red wine vinegar. Generally quite happy with this sauce.
