The pretzels instead of nuts added a tasty surprise to these cookies. Having made these, I suggest substituting chocolate chips for the chocolate chunks. I adore chocolate but the chunk was too much of a good thing---it overwhelmed the rest of the cookie. Put cookies on baking sheet at least 2" apart---they do tend to run together otherwise. And I'd strongly suggest letting the cookies cool on the baking sheet before removing---I found the cookies too fragile otherwise. Last, I made the dough ahead and put it in my freezer b/c it was too hot to bake that day. When I took the dough out of the freezer, it was very dry and crumbly. I added a few tablespoons of water and that solved the problem. All in all, a very tasty treat!.
