- 1/2 onion (sliced into thin rings, I used a mandoline)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. cayenne pepper (feel free to use less)
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. Hungarian paprika (regular paprika will work)
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 4 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 lb. ground turkey (85% lean)
- 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3 Tbsp. unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tsp. granulated onion
- 1/2 tsp. granulated garlic
- 1 tsp. fresh thyme
- 1 tsp. fresh sage
- 12 whole sage leaves
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes
- freshly ground black pepper
- sea salt
- 6 slices applewood smoked bacon (cooked to desired crispness)
- brie cheese
- Dijon mustard
- mayonnaise
- 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 3 hamburger buns (type of bun is totally up to you)
