- 8 lb. beef brisket (untrimmed whole)
- 12 oz. beer
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. jalapeno chilies (minced)
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (purchased, I used Sweet Baby Ray’s)
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder

This RULED. Honestly followed the directions perfectly but halved everything since my brisket was only 3 lbs and shortened cooking time to 2 hours. Amazing. Cant wait to make again. Instant house favorite.

I overcooked my meat too - 1st brisket, so I’ll blame myself on this one.
Really nice flavour though… Added in a horseradish, sour cream, with a little paprika, and served on brioche buns. AMAZING!

Turned out better than I expected. I used a old tip I learned when I ran out of the mop, mixed equal parts cider vinegar and water into a spray bottle and gave a generous spray every 30-35 min in the final 2 hours. I also used maple sugar instead of regular sugar not sure what it added but just an alternative.
