  • 250 milliliters honey (or maple syrup)
  • 250 milliliters water
  • 125 milliliters lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 125 milliliters soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger (or 1 cm. piece of fresh ginger, diced)
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 200 gr. each)
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro (diced)

    Directions

    1. In a saucepan, add the honey, water, lemon juice, soy sauce, and ginger. Bring to the boil and simmer 3 minutes. Remove from heat and pour into a container large enough to hold the salmon.
    2. Once the marinade has cooled, add the salmon making sure it is completely coated and refrigerate 1 whole day.
    3. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
