Tasted amazing! My only complaint is that there wasn't enough tater tots, meat mixture, or cheese to make a second layer. i should have just made my first layers thicker lol. I'll definitely make it again though!

Gary Titus, thanks for sharing your method. Welcome improvement. Tater Tot casserole is a classic and you just made mine better!!

This is delicious but i changed it because i have been making my own for years! Ground meat with onions cook until done. add salt/pepper/ Steak seasoning (Montreal) 1 can cream mushroom soup mix add 1/2 milk to can mix well. Put meat/onions into 13×9 baking dish. Add cream mixture mix. add some cheddar cheese (little layer) cover with big mound of frozen tator tots. Preheat oven to 450 and bake for 45 minutes or so. Take out and cover with generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese, back in oven maybe 10 minutes. Done and you're welcome

Came out yummy. Added Worcestershire sauce, onion and garlic powder to the meat. A little salt with pepper. That was all I changed. Would gladly revisit this in future

Really delicious! I added chopped onions while cooking the hamburger meat.

Used Quorn ground “burger” (1 and 3/4 packages), 3/4 c. non-dairy milk, swapped in some nutritional yeast and vegan cheese. Sautéed with one chopped onion, 2 tbsp minced garlic, and finished with several dashes Worcestershire. Also added a can of cream of celery when stirring all ingredients together before putting in baking dish. Usually add extra tater tots, too. Probably need to bring the cooking temp up.

I added canned peas. I also added garlic, onion, and cayenne powder to the meat Turned out great!

I actually added more hamburger than it called for because I like it s little more meatier, 1 1/2 lbs. I followed the recipe the rest of the way and it turned out delicious, Definitely going to fix the recipe again.

I mixed the cheese into the meat mixture instead of layering them but it still tasted wonderful! Thank you for this recipe! :)

It lacked flavor, I would definitely modify it next time. Maybe add more ingredients

i loved it. I would reccomend a little long as the tater tots were not all the way done

This Tater Tot Casserole was a hit! I did however add more cheese towards the end of the baking time. This will definitely be on my list to make again!

Taste ok.
I followed the advice of others and cooked the crowns in oven first. Did a layer of meat, cheese, then crowns. Cooked it for ten mins then added next layer. Cooked it additional 10 minutes.

Very easy, and pleasing. Very little prep work and no vegetable chopping. Next time I'd add some frozen veggies for a little color.

Big hit with my family - husband had 3 helpings and even the picky 2 year old liked it! But be aware that you will probably want to make a few modifications. For example, a 9"x13" pan was way too big to line the bottom with tots. But my 8"x8" was perfect. (Just adjusted cook time to 30 min.) I also took other reviewers' suggestions and the baked tots before using in recipe and seasoned beef while cooking.

This was awesome! I made the ground beef mixture in my instant pot then poured it into a casserole dish, topped it with the tater tots and cheese then broiled it for about 15 minutes.

Good. I need to use a fatter meat next time. I also want to try crispy crowns instead of tater tots. I also had to make this with out vegetables (sad). But over all good recipe.

good! maybe next time I'll bake the tots a bit first (what other reviewers said) so they are more like tots than mushy potatoes. Hubby mentioned seasoning the beef while browning it --- jury is still out on that decision though. (;-) )
