- 4 oz. green chilies (can drained, optional)
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro (1–, optional)
- 1 cup cheese (grated, optional)
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 extra large egg
- 2/3 cup milk (or buttermilk)
- 1/3 cup sour cream (or yogurt)
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil (or melted butter)
- 1 jalapeño (sliced, optional)
